Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-24
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We use them to keep the site working correctly and, with your consent, to measure usage and the performance of our advertising. By default, analytics and marketing cookies are off until you opt in through the consent banner.
We use Google Consent Mode v2. Until you grant consent, no analytics or advertising cookies are written; Google receives only cookieless, aggregated measurement signals. Granting consent enables the cookies described below.
Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be disabled:
- Supabase Auth session — keeps you signed into Strikepoint Central chat. Expires on logout or after extended inactivity.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — sets a short-lived cookie when we run a bot check on a form you submit. Classified as strictly-necessary security.
- Banner state (localStorage, not a cookie):
sp_subscribed,sp_sub_dismissed, andsp_cookie_consent(a JSON record of your per-category analytics and marketing choices) — remember whether you subscribed, dismissed the subscribe banner, and your consent selections.
Functional / first-party measurement
We record basic first-party attribution so we can understand which campaigns and referrers bring visitors to the site and how long it takes a visitor to subscribe. This stays on our own domain and is never shared for cross-site tracking.
- Attribution cookie (
sp_attr) — a first-party cookie storing the campaign parameters present in the URL when you arrive (such asutm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign, and ad-click identifiers likegclid), your first external referrer, and the landing page. It retains first-touch and last-touch values for up to 90 days.
Analytics (with your consent)
- Google Analytics 4 — measures aggregate traffic, page views, and basic device information, with IP anonymization. Analytics cookies are written only after you grant Analytics consent in the banner.
Advertising / Marketing (with your consent)
We run paid advertising and need to measure whether those ads lead to subscriptions. With your Marketing consent, the following enable cross-site advertising measurement:
- Google Ads — cookies that let Google attribute a subscription on this site to an ad you clicked, and that may be used for advertising and remarketing. These set the
ad_storage,ad_user_data, andad_personalizationconsent signals. They are written only after you grant Marketing consent.
Until you grant Marketing consent, Google receives only cookieless conversion-modeling signals and no advertising cookies are stored on your device.
Managing and withdrawing consent
You can change or withdraw your analytics and marketing consent at any time by clearing the sp_cookie_consententry in your browser's localStorage (which re-opens the consent banner), by blocking or deleting cookies via your browser settings, or by contacting IR@strikepointnews.com. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working. See your browser maker's documentation (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) for cookie controls.
