Who we are
Strikepoint News is an independent publisher covering the global mining and commodities sector. This policy describes what personal information we collect when you use our website (strikepointnews.com), how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. What we collect
- Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter, complete the contact form, or register investor interest.
- Name, jurisdiction, investor qualification — when you voluntarily submit the accredited-investor interest form.
- Chat account details — display name, email, and activity if you create a Strikepoint Central chat account.
- Usage data — IP address, browser user agent, referring URL, pages visited, timestamps. Collected server-side for security (rate limiting, abuse detection) and via Google Analytics when you consent.
- Cookies — strictly-necessary session cookies and, with your consent, analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use your information
- To deliver the newsletter, content, or service you requested.
- To operate and secure the site, including fraud / abuse prevention.
- To understand aggregate usage patterns, with your consent.
- To respond to your inquiries.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not profile you for advertising.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of vendors to run the site. Each acts as a data processor, contractually bound to our instructions:
- Vercel — hosting (United States).
- Supabase — database, authentication, realtime messaging (United States).
- Resend — transactional email (United States).
- Cloudflare — bot protection via Turnstile.
- Upstash — ephemeral rate-limit counters.
- Google Analytics — traffic analytics, only when you consent.
Retention
Newsletter subscriber emails are retained until you unsubscribe. Contact-form messages and investor-interest submissions are retained for up to three years. Server logs and rate-limit counters are retained for seven days. Chat accounts are retained until you request deletion.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (EEA/UK GDPR, California CCPA, Canada PIPEDA, Australia Privacy Act), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to or restrict processing.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time.

Children
The site is intended for an adult professional audience. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
