DPM Metals Uncovers a 713-Metre Porphyry Column at Chelopech's Doorstep

A high-grade gold-copper porphyry system is taking shape in Bulgaria's Western Tethyan Belt, where DPM Metals Inc. (DPM) has drilled what its management is calling its fourth significant new discovery since 2023. The Brevene South Porphyry target sits within the Chelopech mine concession — one of Europe's largest operating gold-copper mines — giving the discovery immediate geological and logistical context that most greenfield finds lack.

Hole EX_BRESPO_03 intersected 713m at 2.52 g/t AuEq — comprising 1.31 g/t Au and 1.16% Cu — from 1,172m to 1,885m depth, returning 1,797 gram-metres AuEq. The host rock is a diorite porphyry with potassic-chlorite-mica-magnetite-quartz-anhydrite alteration and stockwork-to-sheeted vein structural style, consistent with a classic large-tonnage porphyry setting. The discovery represents an extraordinary moment for DPM shareholders. The company has already committed up to 15,000 additional metres of drilling through year-end 2026 to define the mineralization footprint and support an economic assessment.

Porphyry systems of this width are measured by tonnage potential, not just grade. At 713m of continuous mineralisation, the footprint at Brevene South is already comparable in vertical extent to some of Europe's established copper-gold porphyry deposits. The adjacent Chelopech mine infrastructure — processing plant, tailings, power — reduces the capital intensity of any future development scenario.
