FCL-X Fire & Safety has secured an Integrated Safety Purchase Order (ISPO) with Kia Georgia, Inc. at its West Point, Georgia facility

Engagement includes construction support and HSE services for battery-related environments

FCL-X Fire & Safety will provide risk assessment, fire protection engineering, and safety protocols designed to protect personnel, assets, and surrounding environments

The engagement supports Kia Georgia's focus on safety infrastructure as vehicle electrification and battery deployment continue to expand

TORONTO , Sept. 29, 2026 /CNW/ -- FCL-X Fire & Safety Inc. ("FFS" or the "Company") (TSXV: FCLX) (OTCQB: FCLIF) (FSE: K0Q), a U.S.-based manufacturer of lithium-ion battery fire safety products and services, is pleased to announce the execution of an Integrated Safety Purchase Order (ISPO) with Kia Georgia, Inc. at its West Point, Georgia facility.

The engagement represents an important commercial milestone for FCL-X Fire & Safety and expands the Company's role in providing specialized safety infrastructure for a major automotive manufacturer. Under the ISPO, FCL-X Fire & Safety's mandate includes construction support and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE)-related services, including risk assessment, fire protection engineering, and implementing safety protocols for battery-related environments.

"This engagement with Kia Georgia is a significant validation of the direction we are taking FCL-X Fire & Safety," said Carlos Vicens, CEO & Director of FFS. "Our focus is increasingly on becoming an integrated safety partner for organizations operating in complex battery environments. Kia Georgia is precisely the type of world-class organization where that expertise can have meaningful impact."

Chad Carver, VP Sales & Operations of FCL-X Fire & Safety, added: "Working alongside a major automotive manufacturer brings our technology and safety expertise into one of the most important and rapidly evolving battery environments in the world. This is exactly where we believe FCL-X Fire & Safety can deliver value—combining practical fire-suppression technology with the broader HSE and safety infrastructure required to protect people, facilities and assets."

Growing Lithium Battery Safety Demand

The need for specialized lithium-ion battery fire protection continues to grow as electric vehicles, battery energy storage, and other lithium battery-powered applications expand globally. NIST has estimated approximately 198,000 structure fires involving lithium-ion batteries in the United States since 2011, highlighting the scale of the emerging safety challenge. ¹

FCL-X Fire & Safety has continued to build commercial momentum over the past six months, including expansion into major U.S. retail, successful industrial and landfill-fire demonstrations, a U.S. Naval Academy demonstration, international distribution expansion, development of its next-generation FCL-X ™ GEL technology for battery energy storage systems, and expanded commercial and production capacity.

The Company's role under the Kia Georgia ISPO is strictly limited to construction support and HSE-related services. The engagement does not constitute an endorsement by Kia Georgia of FCL-X Fire & Safety's products and does not represent an affiliation with, or involvement in, branding, manufacturing, or commercial operations of Kia Georgia or the Kia brand.
