Trifecta Gold Launches 2026 Drill Program at Rye as Tombstone Belt Intrusion-Related Systems Attract Capital

Yukon's Tombstone Gold Belt has drawn sustained exploration capital toward intrusion-related gold systems over the past several years, with the district now hosting more than 25 million ounces of gold across deposits including Snowline Gold Corp.'s Valley deposit, Banyan Gold Corp.'s AurMac deposit, and Sitka Gold Corp.'s RC deposit, alongside the past-producing Brewery Creek and Eagle Gold mines. Against that backdrop, $TG (Trifecta Gold Ltd.) has secured a ten-year exploration permit from the Government of Yukon and launched its 2026 drill program at the Rye Property, 14 kilometres from the North Canol Road in the eastern Tombstone Belt.
"Mineral deposits form where you have the right combination of structure and chemistry," said Richard Drechsler, President and CEO of Trifecta Gold Ltd. "The 2025 program identified each of these elements at Rye. In 2026 we are systematically closing in on where they intersect, in hopes of turning these findings into Yukon's next major precious metals discovery."
The 2026 program carries a contract minimum of 1,500 metres and is targeting two objectives simultaneously: a bulk-tonnage gold system and an adjacent high-grade silver-tungsten discovery. The geological framework at Rye has sharpened considerably since the 2025 maiden program. Petrographic and geochemical work on 2025 drill core identified high-temperature alteration, bismuthinite, and a previously unrecognized syenogranite dyke — indicators of proximity to the buried intrusive source of a Reduced Intrusion-Related Gold System. Host rocks are hornfelsed sediments adjacent to the syenogranite dyke, with sericite and potassium feldspar alteration and sheeted veining. Rye sits between the Itsi and Itsi East mid-Cretaceous granitic plutons.
The 2025 program's best intercept, hole RY-25-04, returned 1,465 g/t Ag with W 0.7684% and Cu 0.22% over 1.97 metres — a narrow high-grade result that by itself does not define a deposit but does confirm the silver-tungsten discovery target. Jack Morton, Vice President of Trifecta Gold, noted that LiDAR analysis has delineated structural features the company believes are critical to understanding system geometry, and that the completed mineralogical work "provide[s] a vector to the hotter, more gold-rich part of the system."

For the Tombstone Belt broadly, the Rye program adds another active drill to a district where the intrusion-related gold model has already produced multi-million-ounce inventories. The silver-tungsten component at Rye introduces a polymetallic dimension that is less common among belt peers and adds a separate commodity vector to the program's exploration thesis.
