Cascade Copper updates maiden drill program at Centrefire, Ontario
Priority Samples submitted for analysis from Hole CF-26-01 containing significant sulphide mineralization at the Main Gossan Zone   Review of Hole CF-26-02 shows more significant sulphide mineralization   Vancouver, British Columbia – July 7, 2026 – TheNewswire - Cascade Copper Corp. (CSE: “CASC”/FRA: 91O) (“Cascade” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has submitted priority assays from drill hole CF-26-01 from the maiden drilling at its Centrefire Copper-Gold Project, located 40 kilometres from Dryden, Ontario. The first two holes were collared to intersect a high priority copper-gold Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) target horizon at varying depths.  A recent Press Release on May 11 , discusses these priority drill targets. "I had the pleasure of being at the drill and core shack last week to see the core returned from the first two holes at the Centrefire Project," stated Jeffrey Ackert, President and CEO of Cascade Copper.
"Both holes intersected multiple zones of pyrrhotite, magnetite, and chalcopyrite mineralization which seems to correspond well with our geophysical modelling. I was quite impressed to see the abundance of mineralization and alteration in the core from the Main Gossan Zone and I look forward to the assay results." "We’ve encountered a significant mineralized “marker horizon” and several other features validating our models and telling us we are in the correct geological environment and timing required for formation of a long-lived multi-episodic VMS system. Seeing the textures, sulphides, and alteration in the core was phenomenal and I am excited to see what comes from stepping out in the next holes." Project Description The 2,500-hectare Centrefire Cu-Au Project is located in the Wabigoon Greenstone Belt in Northwestern Ontario, ~40 kilometers northeast of Dryden and ~35 kilometers southwest of Sioux Lookout. It has been minimally explored in the past with 10 short (<75m vertical depth) drill holes, 5 surface trenches, continuous channel sampling over multi-meter intervals and geophysics, both surface and airborne including magnetics and EM surveys.
Phelps Dodge explored the area between 1968 and 1970 and discovered several stacked intervals of copper, gold, and nickel mineralization within the majority of drill holes. Recent modern work by Cascade has confirmed surface mineralization, re-interpreted and modelled the EM and magnetic geophysics and defined priority drill targets from this. Note that recent surface sampling has returned values up to 2.86% Cu, 2.84 g/t Au, and 23.5 g/t Ag.
What’s Next Drilling should be completed by the end of this week at the Centrefire Copper-Gold VMS project.  Logging of the remaining holes and core cutting continues at site with Cascade’s VP of Exploration, Mr. Shannon Baird, overseeing the operation.  Priority sampling will continue with samples being submitted to the lab on a hole by hole priority basis.  Initial results will be expected in six to eight weeks.   Click Image To View Full Size Figure 5: Centrefire Copper-Gold VMS Project Location in NW Ontario 1 Bellavista Website Sioux Lookout Project 2   Ashley Gold Website: Press Release June 25, 2026 3 NexGold Website: Goliath Gold Complex Note: The information disclosed from adjacent properties is not necessarily indicative of the mineralization on the Centrefire Project.   The technical information in this news release was prepared and approved by Shannon Baird, P.Geo., a Qualified Person as defined in National Instrument 43-101.
