Genesis Reports 2026 Second Quarter Results

(TSX: GDC) (the "Corporation" or "Genesis") reported its financial and operating results for the three months ("Q2") and six months ended June 30, 2026 ("YTD"). Genesis is an integrated land developer and residential home builder with a strategy to grow its portfolio of well-located, entitled and unentitled primarily residential lands and serviced lots throughout the Calgary Metropolitan Area ("CMA"). The following are highlights of Genesis financial results for the first half of 2026: Q2 2026 and YTD 2026 Highlights 203 Homes Sold in YTD 2026: Genesis sold 121 homes in Q2 2026, an increase of 15% from the 105 homes sold in Q2 2025.

In YTD 2026, Genesis sold 203 homes, an increase of 15% from the 176 homes sold in YTD 2025. 200 New Home Orders in YTD 2026: Genesis had 92 new home orders in Q2 2026 compared to 65 for Q2 2025. In YTD 2026, Genesis had 200 new home orders compared to 140 for YTD 2025. Genesis had 159 outstanding new home orders on hand at June 30, 2026 (229 at June 30, 2025). $126.3 Million of Revenues in YTD 2026: Genesis generated revenues of $74.8 million in Q2 2026, up from $71.4 million generated in Q2 2025.

YTD 2026 revenues of $126.3 million were slightly lower than the $129.6 million achieved in YTD 2025. $5.1 Million of Net Earnings in YTD 2026: Net earnings attributable to equity shareholders in Q2 2026 were $4.2 million ($0.08 net earnings per share - basic and diluted), compared to net earnings attributable to equity shareholders of $6.7 million ($0.11 net earnings per share - basic and diluted) in Q2 2025. Net earnings attributable to equity shareholders in YTD 2026 were $5.1 million ($0.09 net earnings per share - basic and diluted), compared to net earnings attributable to equity shareholders of $12.7 million ($0.22 net earnings per share - basic and diluted) in YTD 2025. 108 Lots Sold in YTD 2026: Genesis sold 77 residential lots in Q2 2026, an increase of 57% from 49 lots in Q2 2025. In YTD 2026, Genesis sold 108 residential lots, a decrease of 5% from 114 lots in YTD 2025.

Land Servicing Activity: In YTD 2026, land servicing activity amounted to $27.8 million compared to $29.9 million in YTD 2025. Genesis is actively servicing six communities. Investments in Additional Lands: In Q2 2026, Genesis acquired a 20% interest in a limited partnership for $4 million which is expected to commence development on 133 acres of land in east Calgary with lot delivery in 2029.

Genesis maintains financial discipline by prudently managing its balance sheet and opportunistically allocating its cash resources among the following: maintaining a strong balance sheet; acquiring and developing land either directly or through land development entities; acquiring builder positions in third party communities and constructing homes; and returning cash to shareholders by paying dividends and/or buying back its common shares. Financial Highlights: Outlook Genesis is executing on its 2026 business plan while carefully monitoring market conditions. Although new home orders in the first half of 2026 have shown improvement from the prior year, economic uncertainty continues as household affordability pressures, slowing population growth, and geopolitical uncertainty temper buyer demand.
