VANCOUVER, BC , Aug. 3, 2026 /CNW/ -- Eastern Platinum Limited (" Eastplats " or the " Company ") has secured a credit facility (the " New Credit Facility ") with Ka An Development Co. Limited (the " Lender ") for the value of up to C$2,000,000. This is separate facility in addition to the previously announced two credit facilities on February 6, 2026 and November 14, 2025 (together with the New Credit Facility, the " Credit Facilities "). As of the date of this news release, the total credit available to the Company taken into account three Credit Facilities is for the value of up to C$4,000,000. Eastplats intends to use the proceeds from the New Credit Facility as working capital to support the ramp-up of underground production tonnages at the Crocodile River Mine (" CRM ").

Each advance under the New Credit Facility bears an annual interest rate of 10.25%, representing the current South African prime lending rate as of the date of this news release. Each such advance will mature 6 months from the date of issuance unless it is renewed or extended at the Lender's discretion. An interest rate of 15.375% will be applied on any overdue and unpaid debt amount.

Eastplats intends to ramp a up its Zandfontein underground mine to target 70,000 tonnes of run-of-mine (" RoM ") ore per month by the end of 2026.

As the Lender is an insider of the Company, the New Credit Facility constitutes a "related party transaction" for the purpose of Multilateral Instrument 61-101 - Protection of Minority Security Holders in Special Transactions (" MI 61-101 "). The Company has relied on the exemptions from the valuation and minority shareholder approval requirements contained in sections 5.5(b) and 5.7(1)(a) of MI 61-101 in respect of such insider participation, as the fair market value of the consideration for the Credit Facilities to the Lender is significantly less than 25% of the market capitalization of the Company.
