Gold Orogen commences 2026 exploration program at McIntyre Brook & Riley Brook

Gold Orogen Commences 2026 New Brunswick Exploration Program At Mcintyre Brook & Riley Brook

(TheNewswire)

Vancouver, BC (August 26, 2026) – TheNewswire - Gold Orogen Resources Corp. (CSE:OROG) (the “Company” or “Gold Orogen”), is pleased to announce the commencement of 2026 exploration program at its McIntyre Brook and Riley Brook gold properties in northwestern New Brunswick.

The project is on the Iapetus Suture belt and part of the Bathurst mining camp and is adjacent to Kinross-Puma joint venture project. The 2026 exploration budget is $1.55 million for New Brunswick. The focus of this year’s program on McIntyre Brook is drilling. The drilling will be further refined with trenching and field program. Additionally, the budget will include an inaugural Riley Brook soil sampling and trenching.

“The 2026 program follows up a successful 2025 program where we drill tested geological continuity of Kinross-Puma’s contiguous mineral discovery Williams Brook at McIntyre Brook and further refines it for drilling this year. At Riley Brook, this is the first significant field program and sampling ahead of a maiden drill program, which could significantly expand our mineral potential at both properties.” comments Gary Wong, VP Exploration  of Gold Orogen.

Exploration work details include:

Following the Q4 2025 drilling program where we confirmed a traceable mineralized structural zone, likely the extension of the Williams Brook (Kinross-Puma) mineralization trend onto McIntyre Brook. Of the 3 of 6 holes intersected gold mineralization: 2 holes (including MB25-02) hit an altered structural zone; 1 hole intersected a gold-mineralized quartz vein with MB25-02 returned 1.12 g/t Au over 4.85 m.

McIntyre Brook

• • Trenching across six priority trenches in July 2026, targeting the corridor between the McIntyre Prospect Main Zone and the Moose Brook showing.

  • Field mapping and visual inspection of trench exposures across mineralized felsic horizon at the McIntyre Prospect to check continuity toward Moose Brook to the southwest.

  • trenching further to complete coverage toward the Puma/Panthera property boundary in the northwest.

Riley Brook:

• • Sampling a planned 1,500 samples.

  • Continuing soil geochemical across three grids.

  • Extending a previously identified 3-kilometre gold-tungsten-antimony soil anomaly in the southwest of the Riley Brook property and testing two new grids for mineralization associated with a possible small alkaline intrusive.

ABOUT GOLD OROGEN

As the Resulting Issuer of the February 2026 reverse-take-over of Great Republic Mining (CSE:GRM) by Gold Orogen Exploration Corp (formerly named 1475039 B.C. Ltd. and a subsidiary of Lode Gold (TSXV:LOD), Gold Orogen is an early-stage exploration pure play with quality assets in the Yukon and New Brunswick, Canada. Optionality exists as assets are diversified on two mineral belts that are known to have prolific gold endowment.

New Brunswick Assets - During late 2024, a joint venture was formed between subsidiary company 1475039 and the Company’s 19.9% strategic investor to create one of the largest land packages in New Brunswick, consisting of an area spanning 445 km2 with a 44 km strike. The McIntyre Brook and Riley Brook properties sit on a highly prospective belt that has seen many exciting discoveries including Dalradian, New Found Gold and Calibre Mining. The Kinross-Puma joint venture project surrounds McIntyre Brook.

Yukon Assets - The Golden Culvert / WIN properties sit on the southern end of the Tombstone Belt which in recent years has seen extensive exploration success. It has Reduced Intrusion-Related Gold Systems (RIRGS) targets and sedimentary hosted orogenic mineralization. Over 4,500 m has been drilled with 50 gram meter intercepts. *Cautionary note: This is not a true width calculation as the true attitude of the mineralized body is unknown at this time.
