Birchtech launches share repurchase program
Company to Begin Repurchasing Common Stock Under Previously Authorized $5.0 Million Program
CORSICANA, Texas, Sept. 09, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Birchtech Corp. (NYSE American: BCHT) (TSX: BCHT) (“Birchtech” or the “Company”), a leader in specialty activated carbon technologies for sustainable air and water treatment, today announced that it intends to commence purchases of its common stock under the $5.0 million share repurchase program authorized by its Board of Directors and announced on March 19, 2025.
Repurchases under the program may be made from time to time in open market transactions through the facilities of the NYSE American at prevailing market prices, subject to applicable legal and regulatory requirements, market conditions, share price, and other factors.
The Company expects that purchases may commence on or after September 14, 2026 and may continue until December 31, 2026, unless earlier completed, suspended or discontinued. The actual number of shares purchased, if any, and the timing and price of any purchases will depend on market conditions and other factors. The Company is not obligated to purchase any particular number of shares.
The purchases are intended to provide the Company with the flexibility to return capital to shareholders when management believes such purchases are appropriate. The Company intends to fund any purchases from available cash.
